If a plastic covered couch were to gain sentience, go through art school, and come out the other end as a fully-fledged illustrator, I’d imagine it would produce art a bit like mine.
I’m a d.c.-based artist who takes a candy-colored perspective to illustrations inspired by hype williams music videos, shonen manga, old movie posters, and vintage ads. My work examines invented mythologies and pop culture by layering images and reinterpreting familiar symbology in ways that are energetic, bold, and celebratory of my history.
